Vcevy Strekalovsky

A third-generation painter of Russian heritage, Vcevy graduated from Middlebury College in 1960, where he studied with noted Vermont watercolor artist Arthur K.D. Healy.
In 1963 he received a Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania . He has since studied painting with artists John Kilroy, Carolyn Anderson, Michael Lynch, Ken Auster and Ned Jacob.
Vcevy has exhibited in Vermont, and locally at the South Street Gallery in Hingham, Oceanside 17 Gallery in Hull, South Shore Art Center, North River Art Society and Scituate Art Association. He enjoys participating in plein air events and painting figures, portraits, still life, and wildlife and livestock in their natural setting, and finds the large community of artists on the South Shore to be energizing.
Having lived in Hingham since 1969, Vcevy has a short commute to his firm Strekalovsky Architecture Inc.

Our Gallery hosted a unique “ Isle Au Haut ” show, offering paintings of a local traveling group of artists. Vcevy was one of the artists and you can view his paintings 'here'.

Vcevy and Michael Weymouth had an exhibit at our Gallery on October 27, 2006. You can view their paintings 'here'.
